I made it! So thankful! I never could have made it this far without the Lord!
Saints, we have gotten through another week, and it's time to give God some praise! We survived the piles of snow, the winds, the messy streets, and all the other challenges in between. God is faithful!
This week I am thankful for the roof over my head, the electricity flowing through it, and the warm air inside. (I should also add the cable and internet that stayed on!) So many people are huddled in shelters, freezing in their power-deprived homes, or trying to stay warm in an alley. I am thanking God that I am not one of them!
I am also thankful for my health and strength. Despite my aching back, I am grateful that I was able to help dig my family out. Plus, staying home from work for two days allowed me to help my mother take care of my father. So many people are in need of the help of another, but they have no one to turn to. I am grateful that I can help someone else.
Finally, I am thankful for God's guidance. Driving home at the start of the blizzard, straining to see through whiteout conditions, praying my car stayed upright in the blowing wind...God's angels were definitely working and He was most assuredly keeping all of my senses on high alert! God maneuvered me through unplowed, slippery, dark streets, and He deposited me safely at home. Thank you, Jesus, for keeping me safe on the roads!
Well, it's a new day today, and the sun is shining. I pray we don't see another snowflake until the end of the year. We've had enough for one winter already, I think.
Be blessed, Everyone! Stay thankful to and appreciative of the God who's keeping you safe from dangers seen and unseen!
Verse of the Day: For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91:11
