Remember Who Has Your Back!

I woke up this morning feeling brand new! Gotta love it! It’s a “new mercies every morning” kind of day!

I don’t know what caused the shift, but I’ll roll with it. If you have been reading, you’ve noticed I’ve been a bit down, but I thank God for refreshing my spirit! I feel like the clouds are moving. Not a thing has changed but my mindset – I finally located the bit of optimism I have - and that makes a world of difference!

-------------------------------

We have to constantly remember the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord. We can’t forget how great our God is, how much love He has for us, and what He has promised for us. If we keep that in mind, nothing will faze us or cause us to stumble.

It’s like the children of Israel when they finally got to the Promised Land. Imagine wandering in the desert for 40 years to arrive at your place of destiny only to find out you have to battle GIANTS to get your promise!

The Israelites quickly forgot about how God had fought battles for them before. How the Lord had parted the Red Sea to get them away from the Egyptians. How he miraculously fed them with manna and quail when there was no food to be found. They forgot about how He healed them when they were sick.

All they could see were the big, strong GIANTS in their way. They forgot about the Bigger, Stronger, All-Encompassing GOD on their side.

Because of their oversight, a whole generation missed out on their destiny.

Only a small number looked at what seemed to be an obstacle with the eyes of those who knew their God. They were unafaid of the giants that stood before them. They were ready to go straight into battle knowing that the Lord would give them the victory!

These faith-filled few were allowed to partake in the glory of the Promised Land.

I don’t want to miss out on my destiny because of doubt or fear or anything else the devil might park in my eyesight. As long as the Lord tells me to keep moving forward, I’m moving forward! If God is backing me up, no roadblock, hindrance, disappointment, or seemingly missed opportunity will keep me from reaching His promise for me!

Verse of the Day: Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6
