I love things to work decently and in order, like my God. (I Corinthians 14:40) So, when unexpected things happen, sudden changes occur, or circumstances veer off course, I tend to have issues… major issues.
I know that change is a part of life, but that part is one I have yet to reconcile with. What I have learned over the years, though, is to factor God into every situation. Everything changes when viewed through the prism of the Omnipotence of God. Knowing that God allows everything to happen helps me realize that I can cope with whatever is thrown my way.
It also calms me down. Maybe there’s so much traffic to keep me from getting into an accident up the road. Maybe the person I’m waiting for is taking so long so that I can speak with someone I never would have even looked at. The possibilities are endless.
So as you go about your day today, don’t let the unexpected twists and turns get to you. Look through each happening through the prism of your Omnipotent God. He probably is doing something greater than you think.
Verse of the Day: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
